Community CPR Essentials Training – Program Overview
The Community CPR Essentials Training is a one‑day, 2–3 hour Basic Life Support (BLS) workshop designed to give residents the confidence and foundational skills to respond during an emergency. This is a non‑certification, demonstration‑based class focused on awareness, preparedness, and practical response—not professional-level training.
Led by a licensed EMT, the session covers how to recognize emergencies, assess scene safety at home and in public settings, respond to choking emergencies, and understand CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants through live demonstration. Participants will also learn about AED awareness and basic two‑person response dynamics.
This class is intended for everyday community members who want to feel prepared when it matters most.
