Service Above Self Scholarship
Criteria for Selection:
All scholarships are based on the applicant’s community service activities, however, the Geoffrey L. Reinwald Inventiveness Scholarship is specifically for students pursuing a career in Trade/Technical/Vocational industries.
The applicant must:
- Submit a 500-word essay based on Rotary International’s credo: “Service Above Self” and how it relates to your personal involvement in community service (outside of school).
Tell us about how you spend your time, talent and energy and how you feel it makes a difference in the community.
Submit proof of your graduating senior status and proof of acceptance at an institution of higher learning or Trade/Technical/Vocational school. Proof of acceptance must be provided prior to presentation of award.
Optional: Transcripts and Letters of Reference specific to this scholarship may be included and should be based on the student’s community service and leadership skills OUTSIDE of school-based community service clubs.
The Patterson Rotary Club’s Scholarship Committee will vet and review all completed applications, choose finalists, and submit to the Board of Directors for approval.
Patterson Rotary Club Community Service Scholarships are annual awards and the Board of Directors reserves the right to withdraw at any time without reason.
